I liked taking the time to train and be out by myself with free time to think of anything or nothing, even if it was only for 20-30 minutes a day. I am going to do some more 5k's this summer and with that I pose a question for you. This may seem personal, but by your blog posts I don't think sharing personal info is a problem. ;) What kind of underwear do you wear when you're running or working out? I cannot seem to find something that I'm comfortable in. And please don't tell me those tiny running shorts with built in underwear...I'm not uh...ready...for shorts that short.Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14573901957260529518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7618805225478054367.post-27411021542287131782013-03-05T20:35:18.329-08:002013-03-05T20:35:18.329-08:00I started running when my brother took his own lif...I started running when my brother took his own life. He was 16, I was 15. That's how I trained myself to deal with life. 15 years later and I still love it and use it to motivate me everyday. Great post!Roadrunner008https://www.blogger.com/profile/11285702511155126352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7618805225478054367.post-23152618555571557002013-03-05T20:14:01.466-08:002013-03-05T20:14:01.466-08:00I started running because it was the first hobby I...I started running because it was the first hobby I tried that my husband was really supportive of. He never had offered to stay home with the kids so I could go eat carmel apples at the mall, which was the hobby I really wanted to persue and could have exelled at. Signing up for races outside of my comfort zone forced me out of the house to train, and doing races with girlfriends forced me into girls weekends, which I was surprised to find enjoyable. I run to get a second wind, and to remind myself that I am built on more than my laundry skills. Truly. I decided to run my first race ever in adulthood, this June. A 10k. I have zero endurance, and I feel like I have a lot to learn and prepare for.

I loved this post, it really hit home for me. I may or may not be at the point you were at when you took your baby to the gym with you because you needed a hobby. I think picking up running again is a better hobby than many of the others I have considered :) Thank you so much for sharing. Your words are just what I needed and wanted to hear today.Jennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13020980505550022273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7618805225478054367.post-79796838367537766902013-03-04T21:19:54.356-08:002013-03-04T21:19:54.356-08:00Very well put.
